WENDY HARMER began her career as a journalist and has worked on The Age, the Sydney Morning Herald and the Australian Woman's Weekly. She has also had a hugely successful career in comedy, hosting 'The Big Gig', the 'Faking It' comedy series, and writing dozens of scripts for TV and theatre. She has written five adult books, and hosted a breakfast radio show on 2DAY FM and a morning program on Vega 95.3 FM. Wendy lives in Sydney with her husband and two young children, Marley and Maeve. GYPSY TAYLOR is a production designer and illustrator whose career spans film, advertising and animation. Since graduating from NIDA with a design degree, she has worked as a costumer illustrator on a number of feature films including THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA - THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE and Baz Luhrmann's AUSTRALIA. Gypsy is currently illustrating more Pearlie books for Random House. MIKE ZARB has been a storyboard artist and illustrator for fifteen years, and has worked for various animation studios around the world. His animation design background influenced the creation of his vibrant illustrations of Pearlie and her friends.
